Counseling-search information is treated as sensitive

What consumer health data we collect

• Identity and contact information connected with a counseling search, including name, email address, optional phone number, state, and account or request identifiers.
• Selected counseling concerns, search answers, faith or denomination preference, session preference, availability, and other fit information.
• Counselor selections, saved-profile activity, contact requests, response or disposition status, and directory feedback.
• Previously recorded Secure Handoff coordination actions and timestamps. This feature is retired. Secure Handoff does not accept a free-form message, subject, attachment, counseling note, diagnosis, or crisis narrative.
• Preparation notes, reflections, questions, or handoff material a user separately chooses to create or share.
• Technical, consent, security, and audit information associated with a covered request or privacy choice.
• Only with optional advertising-measurement consent: ad-click identifiers, IP address and browser connection information, and whether an introduction request was completed. This can reveal an interest in Christian counseling.

Why we collect and use it

• Provide counselor search, matching, saved-profile, preparation, and contact-request functions selected by the user
• Determine state, scope, concern, faith, format, availability, and practical-fit eligibility
• Send a request or separately shared note to the specific counselor or practice selected by the user
• Operate privacy, security, fraud-prevention, support, consent, and service-reliability functions
• Produce privacy-bounded aggregate operational measurements that do not identify a person's counseling journey
• With separate optional collection and sharing consent, measure whether our Google search advertising resulted in a completed introduction request; never personalize ads using counseling activity
• Comply with applicable law, lawful process, and verified privacy requests

Categories of consumer health data we share

• Identity and contact information, state, selected concerns and preferences, counselor selection, and request context are shared with the specific counselor or practice only when the consumer directs Find Faith Therapy to send a contact request.
• A preparation note, reflection, or other user-created handoff is shared only when the consumer takes a separate affirmative sharing action identifying the recipient.
• Limited request, consent, security, and audit information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to document or protect a consumer-directed transaction, respond to lawful process, or address a security incident.
• Find Faith Therapy does not share consumer health data with churches, ministries, schools, employers, data brokers, advertising networks, or cold-outreach providers for their own purposes.
• Optional Google Ads measurement is a specific, consent-based exception for campaign measurement: Google receives an ad-click identifier, IP address and browser information, an opaque event identifier, and whether an introduction request was completed. No name, contact details, counselor identity, concerns, faith preferences, request contents, or private notes are included. Restricted data processing is enabled; enhanced conversions, remarketing, customer-list uploads, and personalized advertising are disabled.

Processors acting for Find Faith Therapy

• Google Cloud services supporting hosting, databases, authentication, private object storage, security, and the bounded Vertex AI features described in the Privacy Policy
• Transactional email, monitoring, security, and operational processors acting under written instructions and only for the requested service
• Instantly and other cold-outreach systems are not authorized processors of consumer health data

Categories of third parties

• The specific counselor or practice selected by the user
• Government, legal, safety, or transaction recipients only when a lawful disclosure basis applies
• Another recipient only when the consumer directs or specifically authorizes the disclosure
• Google for optional advertising measurement, only after separate affirmative collection and sharing choices described below

Affiliates

Find Faith Therapy does not authorize an affiliate to receive consumer health data. If that changes, this Policy will identify the specific affiliate and the covered data and purpose before sharing occurs, and Find Faith Therapy will obtain any consent required by law.

Separate choices before collection and sharing

Before a counselor contact request is sent, Find Faith Therapy asks for an affirmative consent that identifies the information to be shared, the selected counselor or practice, the contact-and-fit purpose, the counselor's independent role, and how to request withdrawal from future sharing. Separate consent is required before a preparation note or reflection is shared. Optional Google measurement has two distinct, initially unchecked choices: collection and use by Find Faith Therapy LLC, and sharing with Google. Both must be selected before Google measurement loads. Permission expires after 30 days on that browser. Declining does not affect browsing or introductions. Use Ad measurement choices at the bottom of any page to withdraw future collection and sharing, or submit a privacy request for deletion. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track opt-out signals override permission.

Our commitments

• We do not sell consumer health data.
• We do not use it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
• We do not use it for cold email, look-alike audiences, prospect scoring, list enrichment, or sales personalization.
• We do not use geofencing around counseling, health care, worship, or school locations to identify or target people seeking services.
• We do not disclose private search or contact information to churches, schools, ministries, employers, or referral organizations by default.
• Legacy Secure Handoff records contain only predefined coordination actions. New coordination updates are no longer collected; private clinical conversation belongs in the independent counselor's appropriately secured practice system.
• We require a separate legal and technical review before a regulated clinical, school-record, employer-monitoring, or identifiable-reporting workflow.
• The current service is adults-only. Minor and K-12 traffic remains disabled unless a separately reviewed legal, privacy, consent, and safety workflow is expressly activated.

Your rights

Subject to identity verification and applicable exceptions, you may request confirmation, access, correction, deletion, withdrawal from future collection or sharing, or information about recipients. You may appeal a denied request by replying to the decision or emailing the privacy address with the word "Appeal" and the request identifier. You do not need to create a new account solely to submit a request, and Find Faith Therapy will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

Withdrawal cannot recall information already delivered at your direction. An independent counselor may have a separate legal or professional duty to retain information already received.

Where Washington law applies, Find Faith Therapy responds without undue delay and no later than 45 days after receipt. Authentication begins promptly and does not extend that 45-day clock. One additional 45-day extension may be used when reasonably necessary if Find Faith Therapy explains the extension within the first 45 days. Covered requests are free up to twice each year. A denied request may be appealed by replying to the decision or using the same request method with the word "Appeal."

Retention and deletion

Find Faith Therapy retains consumer health data only as long as reasonably necessary for the requested service, consent evidence, security, a verified privacy request, or a legal obligation. For an authenticated Washington deletion request, unless a specific statutory exception applies, Find Faith Therapy deletes the covered data from all parts of its records and network and notifies every affiliate, processor, contractor, and other third party with which that data was shared so that each recipient can delete it. Archived or backup deletion may be delayed only as permitted by law and, for Washington requests, no longer than six months after authentication.

Changes to this Policy

This page states its effective date. Before collecting, using, or sharing an additional category of consumer health data, or using covered data for an additional purpose, Find Faith Therapy will update this Policy and obtain affirmative consent when required by law.
