How I approach Christian counseling
My background includes young-adult ministry, one-to-one discipleship, and Christian counseling coursework. I enjoy working with people who want to think carefully about a choice without being handed a formula. We look at the practical situation, the expectations around it, and the values that matter to you. Between conversations, you may choose a short reflection or a specific action to try. I aim for a setting where you can ask an awkward question, disagree, or say that something we discussed did not seem useful. I bring a non-denominational Christian perspective. Scripture and prayer can be included, but I do not assume that uncertainty about a decision means a lack of faith. We may talk about wisdom, limits, identity, and the role of trusted community. I ask about your preferences and previous experiences before suggesting spiritual practices.
