My counseling approach
How I approach Christian counseling
My experience includes women's ministry, family support, and further study in Christian counseling. I tend to begin by asking what a normal day looks like and where the strain is most noticeable. From there, we consider the expectations, relationships, and decisions involved. I value an approach that is both compassionate and specific. A useful next step may be a conversation, a different routine, or permission to leave a question unresolved for a while. I do not measure progress by how quickly a person feels positive about a hard situation. My Baptist Christian background shapes my understanding of grace and responsibility. I ask about your own faith language and preferences before including Scripture or prayer. We can speak openly about doubts, disappointment, and the pressure to respond in a particular way. Faith discussion should allow honest reflection.
