My counseling approach
How I approach Christian counseling
My background includes eight years in women's ministry and additional study in Christian counseling. I am interested in the everyday details: the conversation you keep replaying, the responsibility you cannot seem to put down, and the expectations that have become difficult to name. We take time to understand those patterns before choosing a few practical next steps. Some people find brief written reflections useful between conversations; others prefer to start with one manageable change in a relationship or routine. I value a steady pace and clear goals that we revisit together. Scripture and prayer are part of my own Christian commitments. In counseling, I ask how you would like those practices included rather than assuming we use the same words or share the same church background. Lament, hope, and the limits of our responsibilities often become useful themes. There is room to ask difficult questions without rushing toward a reassuring answer.
