My counseling approach
How I approach biblical counseling
I believe that Jesus is the "Wonderful Counselor." I believe that the bible is the inspired Word of God. I use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and Temperament Therapy. My counseling sessions are rooted in Scripture, and I believe that God wants to set his people free.
- Biblical counseling style
- I want Scripture-guided, prayer-aware, Holy Spirit-dependent counsel, I want Scripture-guided counseling that respects my faith, I want Scripture and prayer included when appropriate, I want prayer or scripture only if I ask for it, I want someone from my Christian tradition or denomination, I am processing religious shame or spiritual harm, and I want biblically grounded counseling with practical care
- Faith traditions
- Christian, Baptist, Non-denominational, Presbyterian/Reformed, Methodist/Wesleyan, Lutheran, Pentecostal/Charismatic, Evangelical / Protestant, Catholic, and Other Christian denomination
