How I approach Christian counseling
I came to Christian counseling through years of family ministry and adult mentoring. My work often centers on situations that do not have a single clear solution: an adult child making unexpected choices, a caregiving responsibility, or a marriage adjusting after a major change. We pay attention to the relationships involved and the limits of what each person can decide. I value clear language and practical next steps, while recognizing that another person's response is not something counseling can guarantee. My faith is rooted in the Methodist/Wesleyan tradition. I often return to themes of grace, responsibility, and patient love. I invite Scripture and prayer into the conversation with your agreement. I also welcome questions about the ways religious expectations have influenced family roles.
