Before you start
Decide what a new counselee needs to know, such as how you will reply and what to expect next. Avoid promising an appointment or a response time you cannot keep.
Follow these steps
1. Open Automatic reply
Go to Inquiries and find the Automatic reply section.
Open inquiries2. Write your message
Enter your text under Your message. You can select Use an example when the field is empty, then edit it to fit your practice.
3. Preview the message
Read the preview. Make sure it is clear that this is an acknowledgment and that an appointment has not been booked.
4. Choose whether to turn it on
Check Send my automatic reply to new counselees to enable it. Leave the box unchecked if you only want to keep a draft.
5. Save your choice
Select Save automatic reply and wait for the confirmation that it is on or off.
What happens next
When enabled, your message is used for new inquiries. It identifies itself as automatic and directs replies to your verified account email. It does not resend to earlier inquiries.
If you get stuck
- How do I stop the automatic reply?
- Uncheck Send my automatic reply to new counselees and select Save automatic reply. Your draft stays saved.
- The page says my saved settings changed.
- Use Reload saved settings, check the latest version, and make your changes again before saving.
