Contact your counselor outside the app

Agree on an email address or external app for communication with your independent counselor.

Before you start

Your counselor chooses their contact channels and response arrangements. Use the contact details they give you.

Follow these steps

  1. 1. Agree on a contact method

Ask your counselor which email address or external app to use for questions, scheduling discussions, or other communication. Confirm what information they want you to send through that channel.

  2. 2. Send through that channel

Open your email or the agreed external app, check the recipient, and send directly. Find Faith Therapy does not send or store that conversation as an in-app chat.

  3. 3. Use the portal for assigned work

Continue using your portal to review appointments, complete assigned forms and tasks, and review payment requests. Documents for forms belong in the Forms area.

What happens next

Your conversation takes place in the contact channel you and your counselor agreed to use. A portal task or counselor notification does not send a reply to the other person.

If you get stuck

Where did Messages & files go?
In-app conversations and general attachment sharing have been retired. Contact your counselor through your agreed email or external app. Forms and record documents remain separate from conversations.
What appears in counselor Notifications?
Introduction-request email attempt notices and official Find Faith Therapy updates. Notifications is not a client conversation, and an email attempt does not establish delivery to a person's inbox.
I need immediate help.
Do not wait for an email or app reply in an emergency. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. For emotional distress or a suicidal crisis in the U.S., call or text 988.

Still need help? Contact support. Tell us which page you used and what happened. Leave out passwords, payment-card details, and private client information.
